bgHub ("we", "us", the "Site") is a free gallery of animated web backgrounds published together with their source code. By browsing the Site, previewing a background or copying any snippet, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please stop using the Site.

Unless a specific background states otherwise, every snippet published on bgHub is released under the MIT licence. That means you may use it for personal, commercial, client and open-source work, free of charge.

You may:

• Copy, modify and redistribute the snippets as part of your own project.
• Use them in commercial products and in work you deliver to clients.
• Change colours, timings, geometry and any other parameter.

You may not:

• Re-publish the gallery itself, or a substantial part of it, as a competing collection or paid product.
• Scrape the Site in bulk in a way that degrades it for other visitors.
• Claim that bgHub endorses, sponsors or supports your project.

Attribution is appreciated but not required.

Some backgrounds depend on third-party libraries such as Three.js and React Three Fiber. Those libraries are not distributed by us and remain covered by their own licences. You are responsible for complying with them in your project.

You agree not to use the Site or its code to build anything unlawful, or anything that harasses, deceives or harms other people. You also agree not to attempt to interfere with the Site's availability, security or integrity.

The bgHub name, wordmark, page design, written copy and the curation of the gallery remain our property. The MIT licence covers the code snippets, not the branding or editorial content of the Site.

The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may add, change, rename or remove backgrounds at any time, and we may change or discontinue the Site without notice. Slugs and URLs may change between releases, so pin a local copy of any snippet your project depends on.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Site or of the code published on it, including lost profits, lost data, performance problems or device issues. Your only remedy is to stop using the Site.

We may update these terms as the project evolves. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
